A Time For Prayer
We invite you to the new ministry facility for a 24 hour prayer vigil for Building His Story, our community and our church. On October 16th at 5pm, we will begin the 24 hour prayer vigil, which will culminate with the start of a historic congregational meeting on October 17th at 5pm. We are asking for those interested in participating in this prayer time to sign-up by clicking here.

You don't want to miss out on this opportunity to get on your knees with other believers as we pray, with anticipation, for the Gospel to be made known in this community through the people and ministries of CGEFC.

Progress on the new facility continues despite a wet summer and a union strike. While there is some catchup work to be done on the landscaping and parking lot, work on the inside is ahead of schedule. Well, it was ahead of schedule until they hired the motley crew pictured above. Now we are unsure whether any more work will actually get done. It is always dangerous when you put construction tools in the hands of the pastoral staff. Hopefully this is only temporary!

As the main floor of our new multipurpose facility begins to rise above the foundation, I have found myself starting to imagine what it will be like to stand and preach the Word of God to a room filled with people where my focus will need to be directed more left to right than front to back. So I took a trip over to the property and shot some pictures and video from where I will likely be standing each Sunday. Continue to keep our construction and the ministries of our church in your prayers. It is exciting to see what God is doing.

As we prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we rejoice in the progress on our new ministry facility. With the foundation walls near completion and the main floor structural walls soon to follow, we are reminded that this building is founded on Jesus Christ, our cornerstone, and without His death and resurrection our new structure would be mere rubble, no matter how outwardly attractive it might look.

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:11
